INCOTERMS

Standardized rules established by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) to define the responsibilities and obligations of buyers and sellers in international trade
  • EXW (Ex Works or Ex Warehouse)
    The seller is responsible for making the goods available at their premises, and the buyer is responsible for all costs and risks associated with transporting the goods
  • FCA (Free to Carrier)
    The seller delivers the goods to a carrier designated by the buyer, and is responsible for loading the goods onto the carrier. The buyer is responsible for all costs and risks associated with transporting the goods from the carrier's premises
  • FAS (Free Alongside Ship)
    The seller is responsible for delivering the goods to the port of shipment and placing them alongside the ship. The buyer is responsible for loading the goods onto the ship and all costs and risks associated with transporting the goods from that point
  • FOB (Free on Board)
    The seller is responsible for delivering the goods on board the ship, and the buyer is responsible for all costs and risks associated with transporting the goods from that point
  • CFR (Cost and Freight)
    The seller is responsible for delivering the goods on board the ship and paying for the cost of freight to the port of destination. The buyer is responsible for all costs and risks associated with transporting the goods from the port of destination
  • CIF (Cost, Insurance, and Freight)
    The seller is responsible for delivering the goods on board the ship, paying for the cost of freight to the port of destination, and obtaining insurance for the goods. The buyer is responsible for all costs and risks associated with transporting the goods from the port of destination
  • CPT (Carriage Paid To)
    The seller is responsible for delivering the goods to a carrier designated by the buyer and paying for the cost of transport to the destination. The buyer is responsible for all costs and risks associated with transporting the goods from the carrier's premises
  • CIP (Carriage and Insurance Paid To)
    The seller is responsible for delivering the goods to a carrier designated by the buyer, paying for the cost of transport to the destination, and obtaining insurance for the goods. The buyer is responsible for all costs and risks associated with transporting the goods from the carrier's premises
  • DAP (Delivered At Place)
    The seller is responsible for delivering the goods to a specified place at the destination. The buyer is responsible for all costs and risks associated with transporting the goods from that point
  • DPU (Delivered at Place Unloaded)
    The seller is responsible for delivering the goods to a specified place at the destination, and for unloading the goods from the carrier. The buyer is responsible for all costs and risks associated with transporting the goods from that point
  • DDP (Delivered Duty Paid)
    The seller is responsible for delivering the goods to a specified place at the destination and for paying all costs and taxes associated with importing the goods into the buyer's country. The buyer is responsible for unloading the goods from the carrier
